New home based on middle-eastern architectural principles. The house pinwheels around a central garden atrium as a focal point with clear but varied geometric forms, linking yet separating the spaces to better integrate with the coastal terrain and experience near the cliffs of Lurline Bay.
The client’s emotional brief was to provide for grand mansion experience appropriate to a robust coastal setting with a ‘lush lux’ agenda by exploring and somehow fusing the relationship between a sense of campsite and coastal grandness – using simple, bold geometries and robust materials and reflected lighting.
