New coastal house on an east-west oriented site, for a builder couple and their young family.
Brief was to achieve a memorable experience within the phenomenology of dwelling, by exploring concepts of transparency and enclosure, centrality and dynamism, materiality and permanence, prospect and refuge, simplicity and warmth, whilst being as practical as possible.
Wonderful clients who were happy to push outside their comfort zone for new and meaningful experiences on a narrow and compact site.
