A proposal for extensive reworking to an existing inner city cottage in a heritage conservation area for an artist and his young family.
Client’s emotional brief was to maximise the emotive quality of materialty, referencing a Wabi-Sabi way of thinking, all the time being within a dynamic and flowing sense of spatial enclosure.
A sense of making with a ‘perfectly imperfect’ feeling of craft and assembly is to ultimately unite the elements psychologically.
